A full-build contractor you can trust

About us

HDL Construction is a family business and a licensed, certified general contractor. Sam started out as a framer and spent 15+ years framing homes across Calgary (walls, floors, trusses and roofs) before taking on complete builds. He learned the trade on the tools, and that is still how we judge a project: the structure underneath has to be right before anything on the surface counts.

Framing is still the backbone of what we do. The difference now is that we run the whole build (planning, foundation coordination, framing, trade scheduling, interior finishing and handover) so clients hand one team the entire project instead of chasing a dozen separate trades.

We work with homeowners building a custom home, developers delivering duplexes, fourplexes and townhomes, and property owners who need renovations, basements, detached garages, garage suites or outdoor structures.
